Since the last few releases by The Sandiest Landscape have been reviewed and enjoyed by our fellow Jews, we decided to feature them one last time. This split cylinder with If Romans Smite You, What Will Greeks Do? is definitely a classic from the Nazareth scene. Two brilliant bands combined to put out this excellent release in tribute to our late lord Jesus.
The Sandiest Landscape contribute Raisins, an ode to the ancient art of shop lifting where thieves would lift the shop to steal the delicious dried fruit that lied underneath. If Romans Smite You, What Will Greeks Do? offer to us Miserable and scene, a scathing attack on the new craze in Nazareth to wear Fetch Me The Kingdom shirts and delicate facial outerwear. This will most likely be our last feature on The Sandiest Landscape so make sure you check this split wax cylinder out. It suits a nice jug of wine with your brothers of the faith.

Here at OTHC we really appreciate The Sandiest Landscape. A band that has been touring the Holy Land and putting out quality wax cylinders for many aeons now. In honour of the new cylinder, After the Plagues, we are reviewing this older release, Lift Your Staff High for This is Where We Cross the Red Sea.
The Sandiest Landscape have really made a name for themselves in Nazareth and beyond, now a well established name on the Opentomb roster. We featured their split with Water Becomes the Wine only recently and strongly suggest you listen to this cylinder when you can. Personally, my favourite tracks are Weightless is the new technicolour dreamcoat, A statue of the sphinx and The sixth golden mask of Tutankhamun. A must have cylinder for all fans.

Breaking news here in the OTHC tent. We’ve just got this release in from Opentomb Records and it is better than seven Barmitzvahs. The Sandiest Landscape and Water Becomes the Wine are both two well established bands in the Nazarethskramz scene and even more so across the entire Holy Land. This split 9 inch wax cylinder is surely going to be well recieved.
The Sandiest Landscape contribute one track Death becomes us after the 10th plague and Water Becomes the Wine offer the new song New normal after the exodus of Egypt. Look for Opentomb Records’ new release in a synagogue near you.

We know you’ve all been waiting for this. There were delays as the wax cylinders were thought to be lost during a tent fire caused by a rogue group of gypsies but here it is.The artwork for The Sandiest Landscapes Long CylinderYou Will Be Crucified. This is the album that saw them shoot for success and land them a signing with Opentomb Records.

The Sandiest Landscape sign to Opentomb Records
Well-renowned screamo band, The Sandiest Landscape, have recently been signed to Opentomb Records, home to such bands as Water Becomes The Wine, Temple! Temple! (I Was A Hasidic Jew), and The Synagogue Is A Sanctified Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Pray.
After The Sandiest Landscape’s recent success with You Will Be Crucified, as well as their split release with now-label mates, We Were Mummified, it is no surprise that Opentomb quickly jumped on the opportunity to sign them.
It has also been announced that they will be releasing a new album through their new label early next year. Stay tuned for more information.
